Installation & Testing:

Installing the Corsair Flash Voyager GT is as easy as any other USB flash drive. It takes just a minute and you're really to go. I used Windows Vista Home Premium for this install and it just took a few seconds at first connect for it to load its drivers automatically. After that it's fast as can be when connected. The included USB cable is just awesomely handy and really helps when connecting this to a desktop computer or LCD monitors (like my dell) with USB ports in out of the way locations. I've actually had this USB extension cable connected to my monitor for years (since 2006 and my original Voyager review) and it still worked perfectly. However I finally replaced it with the new one that I got with this kit anyway. So convenient. Let's do some testing.

Conclusion:

The Corsair 32GB Flash Voyager GT was simply a pleasure to review and is now a staple in my computer accessory arsenal. I love the look of it, the included lanyard and even the included USB extension cable. It's a perfect package in my opinion. With so many boring flash drives out there, that include nothing, it's great to see Corsair continue to separate their products from the anonymous.

You may be wondering what the difference between the Flash Voyager and Flash Voyager GT is and all I can tell you is what Corsair tells everyone in their product overview in that the GT is speed and the regular is well...regular. All I can tell you is that I am totally satisfied with the speeds and ease of use of the Voyager GT.

However as is with most great products out there, they wont come cheaply. This 32GB Flash Voyager GT is priced about $20 more than the 32GB Flash Voyager. Honestly both are excellent choices with the GT geared more for the speed freaks that have got to have the fastest.

A big thanks to Corsair for allowing me to show you guys this awesome flash drive just in time for the holidays. This would be an excellent gift.
